Feeding America will deliver a semi-truck full of healthy food for a mobile food pantry in the western upper peninsula today. At noon feeding America will host a mobile food pantry for residents around the Ontonagon area. Those planning to pick up a box of food from today’s mobile food pantry will not need to show any form of ID. The group does ask those picking up a donation box please provide either an address or phone number. The Mobile Food pantry boxes included items such as juice, canned food, fresh produce, and dairy products. You do not have to live in Ontonagon to take part in the mobile food pantry. The mobile food pantry at the Ontonagon Village Fire Hall is located at 315 River Street in Ontonagon. The mobile food pantry has been organized between Feeding America and the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation.
