Feeding America is a food resource program that serves the UP and western Michigan.
They gather donated food, purchase food to fill in nutritional or other gaps, prepare the food for distribution, distribute it through their Mobile Food Pantry Program, provide food to their network of partners, and aid the community with resources to utilize their food.
In Ontonagon, they will have their mobile food pantry program as a drive thru system at the fire hall on Wednesday beginning at noon.
Individuals will drive up, have their car loaded, and then be able to leave.
Feeding America also has a food pantry in Ontonagon Baptist Church, where you call to make an appointment.
