Feeding America’s September mobile Food Pantry arrives today. But an hour earlier than normal. The Feeding America West Michigan mobile food pantry will arrive in Ontonagon at 11 am today. Volunteers with then pass out boxes of food to attendees. Those picking up donations will not need to show identification. The Mobile Food Pantry in Ontonagon for the past several months has been organized through a partnership between the Ontonagon Village Fire Department, Ontonagon area schools, and the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation. Donation boxes typically contain a source of protein, cheese, and canned items such as peas, green beans, and fruits, as well as other items to fill out the pantry. The mobile food pantry with Feeding America West Michigan will arrive at 315 River Street at 11 am today.
