A Pelkie man is dead following a motorcycle accident in Houghton on Friday night.
69-year-old Brian Bixley was riding his motorcycle just before 7:30pm when he entered Shelden Avenue from a parking lot, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a light pole.
He was taken by Mercy Ambulance to U.P. Health System-Portage and then to U.P. Health System-Marquette, where he died from his injuries.
The Houghton City Police Department says they believe alcohol to have been a factor in the accident.
