Evan Dixon Bound Over to 12th Circuit Court

Evan Dixon waived his right to a preliminary exam in district court this week. On Wednesday Evan Dixon, 60 years old, was bound to Houghton County Circuit Court after waiving his right to a preliminary exam in district court. Dixon has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder in connection with the death of Theron Duncan in November 2023. He also faces an additional felony firearms charge. He faces a life sentence for the first-degree murder charge. The firearms charge carries up to a two-year sentence. A preliminary exam in the 97th district court today was taken off the schedule. A new date in the 12th Circuit Court has not been set.
