Stanton Township Fire is offering Emergency Medical Responder training beginning in May. An EMR is the lowest level of training for first responders, but is a first step toward helping the community. The hope is to never have to use training in a real scenario, but it is always important for members in a community to be prepared for a crisis. And have basic level training to tend to people that are injured.
Having a certification and proper training can mean the difference when someone is seeking medical attention. The schedule for training has not been set in stone yet. But the deadline to sign up is April 30th. If you are interested in learning more about the training sessions or want to sign up for training contact your local fire department or first responder unit, as departments already have applications for the emergency medical responder training.
