The Superior Health Foundation has added a new member to its board of directors. Elise Bur has been added to the Superior Health Foundation’s board of directors. The foundation recently announced Bur’s addition to the board earlier this week, adding that her extensive background in health care and issues the foundation’s mission of improving the health of Upper Peninsula communities.
Bur also works for the Northern Michigan University Center for Rural Health as the center’s inaugural director. She was recently added to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ Social Determinants of Health Advisory Board in January.
Bur says she sees this as an opportunity to collaborate with others committed to understanding and addressing the region’s health-related needs. With the addition of Bur, the SHF Board of Directors has 14 members.
