Dad Cafe Seeks to Help Fathers Build Routines at Home

The daily duties of fatherhood never stop. For the past few months, the Keweenaw Family Resource Center’s Dad Cafes have offered space for fathers in the region to gather and talk about parenting strategies. As well as share tips or experiences with the evolving life of being a dad. This month the Dad Café will invite copper country dads to Hirvonen Hall for the topic Under Construction: Building Structure and Routine at Home. The café opportunities are fun and engaging ways to start or continue conversations around parenting, and connect with other families in the community. The Dad Cfes are open to all fathers and father figures in a child’s life. The meeting will include a meal and childcare with construction-related activities. Participants will also be entered to win a gift card drawing. The Under Construction Dad café for July will begin at 5:30 pm tomorrow at Hirvonen Hall in Hancock. Those interested in joining the group or have questions should contact the Keweenaw Family Resource Center at 906 482 9363.
