Culvert replacement in the western Upper Peninsula on Monday

MDOT will begin two culvert replacements in the western Upper Peninsula on Monday

In Ontonagon County, the Michigan Department of Transportation will begin culvert replacement work on US 45 in Ontonagon Township. The work will take place north of Bestard Road. The department expects work to be finished by October 11th. Travelers in the area should expect one lane of alternating traffic on US 45 with temporary traffic signals in place.

MDOT will reduce traffic down to one lane through Adams Township on Monday. The Department of Transportation will begin work on culvert replacement for the M-26 highway in Atlantic Mine. The road work will create a single lane of alternating traffic on M -26 north of First Avenue and Naumkeg Street. The department anticipates work will take place over ten days from Monday until October 17th. Motorists should expect a slow down in the area while traffic is controlled by temporary traffic signals.
