COVID-19 activity inched lower in the most recent update from the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department. There were 24 positives in Houghton, Baraga, and Keweenaw Counties combined. Only five probable cases were noted, a drop from recent reports. That could mean lower numbers in the coming statements.
Most notably, recoveries have slowed reflecting the general lull in new cases that has defined most of the new year, clocking in at 23. In the early part of the month, Houghton County alone was notching as many as 112 recoveries in one report.

GOGEBIC COUNTY: 11 more positives and 12 more recoveries
HOUGHTON COUNTY: 21 more positives, 5 more probable positives and 19 more recoveries
KEWEENAW COUNTY: 3 more positives, 1 more probable positive and 2 more recoveries
ONTONAGON COUNTY: 2 more positives and 1 more recovery
