CopperDog seeks to thank volunteers

It takes over 100 people to help make CopperDog a success, and race organizers are trying to give thanks to all those who braved ice, wind, and freezing rain to ensure this year’s event was one for the history books.

Krissy Kovachich says that a celebration has been planned for Saturday, March 26th at the Elks Club in Calumet. Taking place from 7:00-9:00 PM, there will be a raffle with “tons of prizes” and live music performed by Bob Hiltunen.

Kovachich says that many people sign up as part of a group and that makes it difficult to track down all of the volunteers after the race. She hopes that everyone interested in attending hears about the event with plenty of time to mark it on their calendars.
