Copper Shores Will Fund Up to $50,000 in Grants to Support Volunteer Emergency Services in the Copper Country

The Copper Shores Community Health Foundation announces the return of the Volunteer Emergency Services Grant program for 2024. Copper Shores have begun to accept requests for proposals from emergency responder groups and volunteer emergency services seeking funds to further enhance safety and health in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The Volunteer Emergency Services grant program will fund up to 50,000 dollars in grant opportunities for local emergency service agencies. Requests for funds are capped at 5,000 dollars per application.

Agencies eligible to apply for the grant practice within Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, or Ontonagon counties and are registered with the Michigan State Fire Marshall office. Additionally agencies are asked to provide a fifty percent match amount for grants awarded.
