Copper Shores Meals On Wheels Cookie Fundraiser Returns to the Copper Country

Who doesn’t enjoy a fresh home-baked cookie around the holidays? Copper Shores Meals on Wheels plans to bring back its holiday cookie fundraiser, which was a great success this time last holiday season. The idea was inspired by a Meals on Wheels program in Colorado that has put together a cookie fundraiser for several years, establishing a fun staple event in their community. Copper Shores hopes to create the same sort of feeling, and this year has even asked local businesses to help make the holiday cookies, including Copper Scoop, Keweenaw co-op, Tadychs Marketplace, Soumi Café, Toni’s Country Kitchen, Amy J’s Pasties and Bakery, Bonfire, and Jen’s Kitchen.

Copper Shores Meals on Wheels began accepting orders last Friday and will continue to accept cookie orders until December 13th. Seniors ordering cookies that are already on a Meals on Wheels route will receive their order with their meal on December 13th.

Those interested in placing a holiday cookie fundraiser order with Copper Shores Meals on Wheels can call the office or submit an order form online. The boxes cost 40 dollars. Call 906 483 1155 to place a holiday cookie order with Copper Shores Meals on Wheels.
