Annually April represents a time to raise awareness for Sexual Assault victims. Hosted by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, each month of April marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month across the country. Throughout the month Copper Shores Victims Support plans to raise awareness for victims with various events and activities. Such as Start By Believing, Denim Day, and the return of the fourth annual Puppy Parade.
During April Copper Shores also plans to spread awareness with a social media campaign 30 Days of SAAM, by encouraging residents to post a photo on Facebook, X, formerly Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, #CopperCountrySAAM while tagging the foundation. Victim Advocate Rachel Lamppa says that we all play a role in preventing sexual violence by being a supportive community that promotes safe, healthy, and respectful behaviors and spaces.
