Copper Shores and Feeding America West Michigan Add New Dates to Ontonagon Mobile Food Pantries After Five Years Working Together

The Copper Shores Community Health Foundation and Feeding American West Michigan will continue to work together in 2024. This year marks the fifth year in a row that the two entities have partnered on a mobile food pantry site in Ontonagon County. Typically Feeding America will deliver a truck four times a year about three months apart.

But this year Copper Shores says Feeding America will travel a few more times. The first mobile food pantry in 2024 will be set up at the Ontonagon Fire Hall on March 6th. The next sites will take place in April, May June, August, September, and October.

During the March mobile food pantry those in need of food assistance will not need to show identification or proof of need. Boxes of food are dispersed on a first come first serve basis. Those interested in learning more about the Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry funded Copper Shores Community Health Foundation in partnership with the Ontonagon Area Schools and Ontonagon Volunteer Fire Department can find more details here.
