Copper Shore Victim Support Will Start a Craft Night Program for Teens in the Copper Country

Starting up in January the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation plans to integrate crafting and mental health services for teens in the Copper Country. Starting in January, Copper Shores will begin inviting students grades 7 to 12 from Baraga, Houghton, and Keweenaw counties for the Craft Night: Student Support Group. The program will offer young people a place to build relationships with peers and other trusted adults, while also having an opportunity to focus on a crafting project. Crafting and craft nights are great, low-stress ways for students or victims to process healing while in a group setting. The first craft Night with Copper Shores Victim Support will take place on January 16th, and then on the second Tuesday of the month after the first event. Copper Shores Victim Support does ask that those planning to attend the craft night Student support group RSVP no later than noon the day of the event. Support groups will run from 6 to 730 pm. Those interested in learning more about the Craft Night student support group can find more information here.

Please RSVP no later than noon the day of the session. You can RSVP and ask questions by emailing Victim Support Advocate Rachel Lamppa at rlamppa@coppershores.org
