Copper Range Depot Family Restaurant opens

All aboard for a new dining experience in Houghton! Owner Trisia Narhi has successfully modified the old train station into a sit-down restaurant located next to her other property, Roy’s Pasties and Bakery.

The venue is open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday through Sunday serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition to a great southern style meal, the restaurant feels like a working museum. Narhi says she scoured far and wide for the keepsakes found within the Copper Range Depot.

It is from all over the United States, as well as Canada. I went on a mission to get train memorabilia across this country, as well as Canadian National.

The signature dish is shrimp and grits, which is served throughout the day. The menu transitions towards fish and steak at dinner time, providing a great variety of options to choose from.

Narhi says there is limited crossover between Roy’s and the Copper Range Depot. Roy’s provides bread for the Depot’s sandwich items along with several desserts. Tuesday is the restaurant’s first official day of business.
