Copper Harbor Trails Club Completes the New Berry Picker Trail

Summer’s in full swing, and mountain bikers are already enjoying the Copper Harbor trail network. This summer the Copper Harbor Trails Club will introduce a new, challenging trail to the group’s vast network. Berry Picker Trails climbs the club’s ranks as another fun option for riders and visitors.

The new trail starts at the bottom of The Flow, quickly passing two spurs, and leads to the top and bottom of Daisy Dukes trail. After crossing Brockway Mountain Drive, Berry Picker travels back up the hill to your destination of choice. The nose of Brockway overlooks the top of The Flow trail. The new route also helps diminish the chances of two  traffic accidents on the trail by skipping narrow sections of The Flow trail.

Copper Harbor Trails Club used funding from the Visit Keweenaw destination development grant program to develop the trail. The trail club also extends gratitude to the Grant Township Board of Trustees and the Keweenaw County Road Commission for assistance with the project’s plans. Those interested in learning more about the Copper Harbor Trails Club, and upcoming events, trail riding opportunities, or how to get involved as a volunteer and member can find more details here.

The club asks riders to please use caution on the new trail while the club works to install signage in the area.
