Copper Dog 150 Picks Jailyn Poshak’s Happy Trails Poster for the 2024 Featured Artist Program

The votes have been cast and counted, and Copper Dog 150 organizers are proud to congratulate a Calumet youth for earning a place among the race’s history of featured artists. The Copper Dog 150 featured artist in 2024 is Washington Middle School student Jailyn Poshak, for their piece Happy Trails. Poshak’s design adorns the happiness and joy spectators will see on the faces of sled dogs throughout the race. She used soft pastels and pastel pencils to create the artwork. As the 2024 featured artist, Poshak’s art will feature throughout the weekend on official badges, posters, and merchandise. And she will also be present at the launch in Calumet to help countdown the race.

Officials thank all of the 4,000-plus individuals for voting in the featured artist program. The race also thanks the four other youths for their participation in the program, adding that officials are working to develop ways of using the other artists’ works during the festivities. Copper Dog 150 will take place from March 1st to the 3rd.

Below lists the other youth who’s art was a part of the voting. Find more details about this year’s poster here.
