Houses feel more like home with unique art on the walls. And there is no better chance to find one of a kind paintings, wood carvings, posters or photographs than one of the region’s most exciting art weekends.
Eagle Harbor’s Art fair this weekend will bring together over 70 local Upper Peninsula artists to share their works with the community over a two day period. The Eagle harbor Art fair is brought to the local area by the Copper Country Associated Artists organization, with the help of Eagle Harbor Township.
This year’s fair will include food served by the Eagle Harbor Township Fire Department, and a bake sale with the Eagle Harbor Medical First Responders. Typically the fair chooses to highlight a single artist’s work, but this year, the organization has picked three artists to highlight; Jeanna Rosemurgy, Dolly Luoma, and Millie Little.
Rosemurgy specializes in creating stitch art, using skills taught to her by her seamstress mother as a child.
Luoma works with fiber art, crating cloth designs on a small loom.
While Little’s artistic works include examples of water color, pen and ink, colored pencil, and graphite art.
Join the copper country associated artists, and the township of Eagle Harbor for this weekend’s Eagle Harbor Art Fair tomorrow, and Sunday. Saturday the fair will be open from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from noon to four pm. Admission to the art fair is free.
