Coborn’s acquisition of Tadych’s closes Monday

Barring any unforeseen snags, Coborn’s Inc, based in Minnesota, will close on its acquisition of Tadych’s on Monday. For loyal customers, that won’t mean much through the busy Christmas season. Coborn’s Vice President of Marketing Dennis Host says the company has already visited each Tadych’s location to learn more about their operations.

So, we’ve had teams over there. I know our IT team has been there and our finance team has been there, working with their bookkeeping system to better understand all of that.

Host also assures people that the suppliers used by Tadych’s to help stock the shelves have all been extended under the new ownership and no interruptions are expected. Host says Coborn’s has been subject to occasional product shortages, but a template is in place to assume operations in as smooth a manner as possible.

We’ve done this before, so we know what we’re up against. Yes, the holidays does make this a little more complicated. Probably more so would be just the challenges we’re seeing in the supply chain, and we’re working through all that.

If you have gift cards with outstanding balances it is suggested that you use them by the end of the weekend. The working assumption is that new programs will be in place within a couple of weeks.
