CLK Elementary Joins Capturing Kids Hearts’ National Showcase for a Second Year in a Row

CLK Elementary is recognized once again named as a national showcase school by capturing kids hearts. This is the second year in a row that CLK Elementary has been recognized, and they join 378 other schools across the country being recognized this year. Capturing Kids Hearts selects schools as a part of their national showcase, based on rigorous selection process of measuring key indicators, gathering campus data, and surveying staff and students. CLK Elementary is recognized as a campus where staff exceed expectations, and create safe environments where kids feel connected and an increased desire to learn. Of the nearly 400 schools in the national show case this year, 23 are located in Michigan, and CLK Elementary is the only one earning this status in the upper peninsula. Capturing Kids Hearts has been implemented in other area schools as well, notably in Baraga, Houghton Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties with the help of the Portage Health Foundation.
