City of Hancock Council Meeting Preview: Repaving roads and Public Water Replacements

Hancock will hold their now-once monthly meeting tonight.

In new business, there will be the consideration of Rick White to the Board of Review with a term ending this December.

The repair of the asphalt on Montezuma Avenue from Hancock St. to Quincy St. funded through a MDOT Emergency Relief Contract will be up for approval as well.

There will also be discussion on the request for funding to repave or repair a few different streets in the city:

  • Resurfacing of North and Prospect St between Birch St. and Ingot St.
  • Reconstructing Minnesota St between Ethel St. and Michigan St.

After a presentation from OHM in the beginning of the meeting, the suggestions for some public water replacements in Hancock will be up for approval.

There will also be discussion on requesting for funding to repave some streets, and an approval to purchase a 2015 Chevy Silverado to replace the 2023 Chevy Silverado that was approved but not bought previously.
