Chassell Historical Organization Board President Keith Myers gave an update on their summer plans on Facebook late Wednesday. After being closed for all of 2020, operations will resume at the Heritage Center in July three days a week. Tuesday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Thursday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday between 1:00 and 4:00 PM will be staffed with details on the Thursday night programming yet to be finalized.
The Heritage Center will also have special hours for the Strawberry Festival on Friday, July 9th from noon to 6:00 PM and extended hours that Saturday, opening at noon.
The former school has been renovated into a Keweenaw Heritage Site operating as a partner of the Keweenaw National Historical Park.
