CCSA Spring Ice Show Featuring Two High School Seniors Solo Performances

Throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula, it almost feels like some kids are born on the ice. With so many talented hockey players who have gone on to play at the next level, one might not think often about another incredible and beautiful performance on the ice.

Tomorrow and Sunday the Copper Country Skating Academy will present the 2024 skating show, Icy Enchantment.

The local skating academy brings together skaters from around the area to practice and develop figure skating skills, going on to feature the program’s skaters during a spring Ice Show and Holiday Recital annually.

Tomorrow the spring ice show teams up with Michigan Tech Learn to Skate to present Icy Enchantment at 2 pm and then at 7:30 pm on Sunday. This year’s show will also include solo performances from local high school seniors Aletha Oakley and Kamryn Romps. Tickets for adults cost 10 dollars, and 5 for seniors and students. Kids under 4 can attend for free. Tickets for the CCSA’s Spring Ice Shoe, Icy Enchantment, are available at the door.
