Car Accident Sends Five People To The Hospital

Four adults and a small child were injured in a car accident Monday in Marquette County.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident just before 11:30am. The accident happened on US-41 near Midway Drive in Negaunee Township.

Authorities say 79-year-old Alonzo Feldbauer of Ishpeming was traveling eastbound on US-41 when he lost control of his 2002 Toyota Tundra, crossed the centerline, and struck a 2003 Chevrolet passenger car heading westbound driven by 29-year-old Alex Fraley of Gwinn.

69-year-old Patricia Feldbauer was a passenger in the Toyota. 24-year-old Jessika Fraley and their 3-year-old daughter were in the Chevy.

Both drivers and their passengers were taken to UP Health System—Marquette by ambulance. Their conditions were not reported.

Feldbauer was cited for traveling too fast for the road conditions.
