Calumet Celebrates 100 Years of Fun at Agassiz Park Tomorrow

The village of Calumet will celebrate a very special anniversary for a special park tomorrow. Agassiz Park in Calumet has made green space available to the public for 100 years. Calumet invites residents, and those who have enjoyed making memories at the park to join the village’s leadership, and the Keweenaw National Historic park to join for a little picnic pot luck. While at the park for the 100-year celebration, calumet residents can learn from leadership more information about the village’s progress with its updated master plan. Residents can also provide feedback to Calumet village trustees, to help shape the master plan. Or speak with national park rangers and learn about the history of Agassiz Park and the village of Calumet. Those interested in attending the 100-year celebration of Agassiz Park are asked to bring a dish to pass, and a grill will be available for use. The park’s celebration will begin at noon tomorrow, and run until 4 pm at Agassiz Park in Calumet. Find more information here.
