Struggling with finances around the nd of life can be common. Finding support for those near the end of life can also be difficult to find. Locally, the UP Health Systems Home Care and Hospice group odes their best to support individuals who experience financial difficulties while helping to provide care.
“It’s such a worthy cause. The Hospice Promise Foundation really helps those people in our community. As they have expenses outside of hospice, those grants can help them. ” Julie Beck, Grief Councilor, UP Health Systems Home Care and Hospice
On August 5th UP Health System’s Home Care and Hospice will host the group’s third annual butterfly release. Each year the event helps support the organization’s Hospice Promise Foundation. Last year there were over 200 butterflies release in remembrance of family members and friends.
“We work with a butterfly farm, and they are really flexible with us. But if you have a specific order, but then we want to make sure we will ahve enough butterflies for everyone. And we start with a goal of 300, but I’d love to see us grow to 500 or even 1000 some year. ” Julie Beck, Grief Councilor, UP Health Systems Home Care and Hospice
