Bruce Crossing Woman Arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest, and Damaging Police Property

A Bruce Crossing resident was arrested last night for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and damaging police property.

Yesterday evening the Ontonagon County Sheriff arrested a 38-year-old Bruce Crossing woman for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The sheriff’s department reports that the vehicle was found in a roadside ditch, and the woman was taken to the sheriff’s office to be logged in the Ontonagon County Jail.

During intake, the Bruce Crossing woman began to resist arrest and damaged a sheriff deputy’s taser. The Ontonagon County Sheriff reports that the woman’s blood alcohol content was calculated 0.16, twice the legal limit.

The woman has been logged in the Ontonagon County Jail and awaits arraignment.
