Bootjack Fire Department Inviting the Community to Their Famous Chicken BBQ Dinner on Sunday

The Bootjack Fire Department is inviting the community to join them this Sunday for their famous bar-be-cue chicken dinner. The meal will include half a chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, buttered rolls and tasty lemonade. The dinner has been a staple fundraiser for the Bootjack Fire Department for many years now, and brings people to the other side of Torch Lake, for a fun and delicious meal.

We are close to being sold out of dinner, we’re cooking 2,400 halves of chicken. And it’s fifteen dollars per ticket. I would advise anyone still looking to pick up a ticket to call or stop by any of the businesses helping. – Dan Sarazin, Chief, Bootjack Fire Department

Bootjack Fire has served the Bar be cue chicken dinner for over 50 years, and they have seen tremendous support from communities near and far to the fire hall. Tickets are 15 dollars, and the dinner will be for curbside pick up only. Contact any number of Bootjack firefighters to get you ticket. Or pick one up from a few participating businesses. Tickets are going fast, so pick yours up soon. Dinner can be picked up from the Bootjack Fire Hall, 49676 Bootjack Rd, in Lake Linden, from 11 am to 5 pm this Sunday.

Businesses that ou can purchase a ticket at are Northland Lawn, Sports, and Equipment, U.P. Foods, and the Dreamland Hotel.
