Baragaland Senior Citizens invite the community to meal sites and offers support for those impacted by cancer

Baragaland Senior Citizens helps build community through meals, opportunities to go into town, and emotional support. The group recently announced this year’s first congregate meal site will set the table on Monday at Green Hill Manor.

Baragland Seniors asks attendees joining the meal for the first time to please call ahead and register for the meal. The Baragaland Seniors congregate meal sites take place at Green Hill Manor each Monday Wednesday and Friday. Organizers ask those joining the meals to make a 5 to 6-dollar donation.

Next week the organization also plans to host the first cancer support group meeting. Baraga Land seniors will gather anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis, individually, or a family member or friend, to offer group support. The Baraga County Cancer Support Group organizational meeting will begin at 1 pm at the baragaland senior citizens L’Anse location, at 6 North Main Street.
