ATC Planned Power Outage begins tonight

Some Baraga County residents will lose power starting at 6 pm. ATC power utility has notified the community the company will conduct a power shut-off starting at 6 pm Wednesday, and ending at 6 am Thursday. The company says crews will work to replace old power line poles, to ensure the power grid during the winter. The replacement poles will lower the chances of a power outage during the winter. The planned power outage will impact customers in Baraga County utilizing UPPCO, Baraga Township Utilities, L’Anse Village Utilities, and Otonagon REA power. Work will take place between Baraga and L’Anse.
