Another Great Weekend, and Another Successful Triathlon

The Verna Mize Triathlon was another success this year. In all the triathlon had 33 racers, about ten more than their inaugural race last year. The youngest racer to participate was 8 year old Avery Roberts who came in second for the youth division. The winner of the Youth Division was Claire Filpus with a time of 80 minutes and 54 seconds. The Verna Mize Triathlon’s main event’s fastest time was claimed by Eric Weiss Clocking in at 61 minutes 11 seconds. In the Mini Mize, Cyrus Hamlin finished top of the pack, crossing the line at 38 minutes and 5 seconds. 12 volunteers and pubic safety personnel took charge to keep racers safe, and put on a great event.
