A Michigan Tech student has been recognized as one of one hundred voyager students. Quinn Riordan of Minneapolis has been chosen as one of the students in the second cohort of the Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service. The one hundred students considered voyagers come from 33 states and are attending school at 74 different colleges and universities. As a scholarship award winner, Riordan has earned 25,000 dollars towards financial aid in her junior and senior years. She is an applied ecology and environmental science student at Michigan Technological University. Riordan plans to work with her mentors in her chosen field to expand her exposure to new communities and will attend the fall summit with fellow students.
