The Copper Country Humane Society’s 12 Dogs of Christmas leading up to Raise the Woof will end today. But the community will join the area’s pets and humane society staff for a laugh and some fun next Saturday.
Just after families gathered round the Christmas tree 97.7 the Wolf and the Copper Country Humane Society started the yearly tradition 12 Dogs of Christmas. For the past 12 days the community has met some of the humane society’s furry friends. With each dog spotlighted online and over the radio.
CCHS assistant shelter manager Rebecca Brink says Moo and Ruger are very excited to meet their new families.
Moo is an awesome one. He’s a staff and volunteer favorite. He’s always coming. He has to take a walk with his toy. He must take his toy with him. He’s one that he would make a fantastic family dog. He loves people. Even kids get along with some other dogs. No kitties, but he very much would be the one that curls up on the couch with the kids and runs around the backyard playing with his toys. He’s an awesome boy, shares assistant Shelter Manager Rebecca Brink.
She adds, we also have Ruger who he’s not the biggest fan of other animals, but he’s very much like your loyal sidekick. If you want a dog that will always be by your side, always want to go for walks and hang out and snuggle with you. He’s a very sweet boy.
Pets a part of the 12 dogs of Christmas are available for adoption with the Copper Country Humane Society. Contact the Humane Society to learn more about how to adopt.
Raise the Woof will feature Aron Woldeslassie and Mike Brody on stage. Woldeslassie will keep the audience on their toes and in their seats as the show’s opener. Followed up by Brody’s brand of clean fun with the crowd.
Tickets for Raise the Woof supporting the humane society on January 18th can be found on the Rozsa Center box office website. Individual tickets cost $20, or $15 for Michigan Tech students. The show will begin at 8 pm on Saturday. Find more details below.
