New Yooperlite Exhibit at Mineral Museum

The A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum has announced a brand new Yooperlite exhibit.

Yooperlites, or sodalite-bearing syenites, have fluorescent properties that are found in abundance on the shores of the Keweenaw. The sodalite glows orange under UV light, so it’s easy to find them when Yooperlite hunting.

The museum is open between 9a.m-5p.m Monday through Saturday
