Bill Would Ban Hand-Held Devices While Driving

A new bill introduced by State Representative Martin Howerlak would ban drivers from the use of all cellphones and electronic devices that are not mounted in the car and voice-activated with a single touch. The bill carries a penalty of $250, which rises to $500 upon a second offense.
