If you’re heading through Marquette tonight or tomorrow night, be prepared for a detour. US-41/M-28 is scheduled to be closed from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. between the Front Street roundabout and Furnace Street for repaving. A detour will be posted.

Local COVID-19 Cases Drop

COVID-19 cases declined in our region last week.  The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 42 confirmed cases in Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon Counties. Gemignani’s Restaurant Damaged by Fire

Fire damaged Gemignani’s Restaurant in downtown Hancock early this morning. The Hancock Fire Department was called out just before 4:00 a.m. The blaze was extinguished, and the scene cleared by around 7:00 a.m. No injuries were reported.
