A Norway man extradited from California to Dickinson County was bound over to circuit court on Thursday. Trentin McWilliams 23 years old of Norway, was extradited from California in September on several felony charges in Dickinson County. The Michigan attorney general’s office accuses McWilliams of sexually assaulting two minors on separate occasions in 2018 and 2022. His extradition from California to Michigan was part of a nationwide effort called Operation Survivor Justice. The operation is a partnership between the Michigan Department of Attorney General, local county prosecutors, and the U.S. Marshall Service to locate, apprehend, and return to Michigan fugitive offenders with outstanding sexual assault warrants. A pretrial date has not been set in the case.
