College Basketball

The MTU men’s basketball team fell 83-67 to Concordia-St. Paul yesterday, despite 30 points from Marcus Tomashek.

NHL

The Red Wings visit the Sharks tonight. Because of NFL football on 99.3 The Lift, coverage will start at 10:15 on KBear 102.3.

NBA

The Pistons bested the Wizards 124-104 yesterday. Jaden Ivey scored 28 points, and Malik Beasley added 26. Cade Cunningham’s 21 points, ten rebounds and ten assists moved him past Isaiah Thomas into second place on the team’s all-time career triple-doubles list, behind Grant Hill.

The Pistons host the Bulls tonight.

NFL

The Lions pummeled the Jaguars 52-6 yesterday. Jared Goff passed for 412 yards and four touchdowns. Detroit outgained Jacksonville 645 yards to 170. It was a costly win, though. Linebacker Alex Anzalone broke his arm in the second quarter, and will miss the rest of the regular season.

The Packers eked out a 20-19 win over the Bears. Karl Brooks blocked a 46-yard Chicago field goal attempt as time expired to preserve the win.

The Chargers outscored the Bengals 34-27 in the Sunday night game.

In tonight’s contest, the Texans will visit the Cowboys, with coverage on 99.3 The Lift.
