Election Day is finally here. Polls began to open at 7 am this morning. And will close at 8 pm tonight.
Voters will need to show proof of identification, such as a Michigan driver’s license or state ID (may be expired), Federal, U.S. passport, Military photo ID, Photo ID from an educational institution, or Tribal photo ID. Fill in the bubble for each of your chosen candidates and proposal completely. Do not use a check mark or ‘X’ to pick your selection. Polling locations vary by municipality. Those unsure of where to vote can find a helpful tool on the state of Michigan’s elections website.
45 percent of registered voters in Michigan have already cast ballots through absentee or early voting opportunities. In Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties over 14,000 people participated in early voting options. Those who want to find out where to vote can find resources here.
