MDOT conducts intersection study of US-2/M-28 in Gogebic County

The Michigan Department of Transportation will create a four-way stop in Gogebic County on Thursday. The Department of Transportation has announced it will create a temporary four-way stop at the intersection of US 2 and M 28 in Wakefield, starting Thursday. The department will complete a study in the area for future intersection operations and will analyze the safety and performance of the interactions to determine if a traffic signal is necessary. The study is a part of MDOT’s plans for a US 2 rebuilding project. Motorists can expect a flashing red signal at the intersection and should use appropriate caution when traveling in the area.
