Chelsea Rheault selected as the new Houghton County Administrator

Houghton County has selected a new county administrator. Chelsea Rheault, current county director of finance will be sworn in as the county administrator on Monday. She and the former dean of Finlandia University’s marketing program Kevin Manninen were interviewed by the county board of commissioners. Rheault offers Houghton County an employee with extensive knowledge of the county’s finances since 2021. She holds an MBA in accounting from Northern Michigan University and began her career as an intern with Houghton County. A personnel committee will meet next week to discuss salary negotiations. Rheault will expect a pay bump after receiving CPA certification.  She extends that she has very much enjoyed working for Houghton County since 2021.
