Anne Korby of Allouez, Michigan passed away on October 13, 2024, at the Omega House in Houghton, Michigan. Elizabeth Anne was born on June 27, 1936 in Forsythe, Georgia to James and Sally (Bunn) Simpkins.
Anne graduated from Michigan Tech University and then from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree.
She met the love of her life Russell and they were married on March 23, 1959. Anne worked as a registered nurse and director of nurses until her retirement.
Anne loved to weave baskets and enjoyed her granddaughters.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents James and Sally and her husband Russell.
Anne is survived by Lori (Terry) Laurie, Grier (Roseann Fontana) Korby, Jamie Laurie (Travis Fairbanks) and Jessie Laurie (Christopher Windy).
A private service for Anne will be held.
The family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at Omega House in Houghton. In lieu of expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made in Anne’s honor to the Omega House.
