Gogebic Community College and Northern Michigan University agreed on a partnership to ease the transition between campuses for transfer students. On Thursday Gogebic Community College and Northern Michigan University jointly announced the institutions have decided to create a seamless pathway for transfer students pursuing bachelor’s degrees. In conjunction with the new program Gogeibc Community College will create a permanent stiletto office for Northern Michigan University at its Ironwood campus for admissions and recruitment with academic departments. The direct admission program will admit GCC students to NMU while at the college, technically attending both simultaneously. The program aims to eliminate barriers for transfer students, promote well-being, and enhance connections to between matte and the campus community for both institutions.
