Houghton Welcomes Michigan Tech Students to an Afternoon on the Town

Michigan Tech students have finished moving into town and will soon resume classes for the 24-25 academic calendar. Traditionally this weekend the Houghton community invites new and returning students to explore downtown with an Afternoon on the Town. Students will start on campus, and work their way toward downtown while checking various tables and campus groups along the way. In downtown Houghton, local businesses will offer refreshments, prizes raffle drawings, and discount coupons for later in the semester. Students will need to use their student ID to check in at the start and end of the event’s checkpoints to register for various other prize raffles.
