MDOT Will Start the First of Two M-28 Maintenance Project Next Week

MDOT will begin on M-28 in Baraga and Houghton counties next week. On Monday contractors for the state transportation department will conduct maintenance on M-28 in Barga and Houghton counties. The work will require lane closures. Starting on Monday traffic will reduce to one alternating traffic lane on M-28 in Kenton. Crews will work to replace a storm sewer and should finish by the 21st. Another maintenance project will begin on September 3rd. traffic will reduce to a single lane with alternating traffic on US 141-M-28 east of Rock River on Covington. That project will complete shoulder work. MDOT expects crews to finish work in Covington by September 5th.
