63rd Annual Eagle Harbor Art Fair Includes Food and Bake Sale for EMT Equipment

For over 60 years Eagle Harbor has hosted the Copper Country Associated Artists’ annual Art Fair. Placed in the heart of the small town, the fair welcomes people of all ages to view and connect with local artists. CCA Artists Eagle Harbor Art Fair Chairperson Linda Dodge says that over the years they would estimate close to 1,200 t o1500 people regularly come out the village for the event, which includes, local food, art, and music.

One of our new vendors this year is a gentleman who does hats. And so that will be interesting to see what he’s going to be doing. We have various new oil, acrylic, and watercolor artists that will be attending this year, which is very, very good. Very often we end up with more jewelers than we do artists. And this year, it’s kind of turning the other way around. This year’s 63rd Eagle Harbor Art Fair features more than 60 artists from the region. Several works through mediums like oil or watercolor painting. Dodge also says that pottery art has been a popular purchase at the fair, as well as artisan jewelry.

The fire station puts on hot dogs potato chips and drinks. And then we will have a bake sale that is sponsored by the EMT, the Emergency Medical Team. And they, every year we’ll be working for something that they need. It was EpiPens one year. And this year I think it’s battery packs for their communication systems. So it’s for a very good cause. The Eagle Harbor Art Fair will begin tomorrow in Eagle Harbor and will take place at Saint Peter’s by the Sea Church. The event will begin at 10 am and run until 5 pm. If you miss the chance tomorrow, the art fair will continue into Sunday from noon to 4 pm.
