Before traveling to Detroit to show off the MTEC SmartZone’s AMMP Accelerator’s five cohorts’ progress. MTEC SmartZone will host a local Demo Day in the Copper Country. In the past year, MTEC’s SmartZone has worked with five cohort companies with the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Program accelerator. Later this month MTEC’s program participants, Flow Shield Nano, BioMang, Resuggent Innovations, Integrated Molecular Innovations, and O2 Innovations will travel to the Michigan Central Station’s NewLab to perform a demo day to share advancements made in the past year with other advanced materials and manufacturing industry leaders while competing for a share of funding.
At the local Demo Day on Friday, attendees can experience a Shark Tank-style event. With the entrepreneurs pitching their companies and ideas to a panel of experts, the audience. Attendees will have an opportunity to provide feedback to the companies and help them refine their pitches for the full demo day in Detroit. The demo day will begin at 1 pm, with the first company pitch starting at 2:45 following opening remarks.
