East Lakeshore Drive Closure Begins on Monday

Houghton Department of Public Works will temporarily close a section of Lakeshore Drive. Beginning Monday, East Lakeshore Drive will close between Huron Street and Center Ice’s business. Additionally, the city will close Huron Street at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive, not allowing traffic north on Huron Street from Shelden Avenue. The Department of Public Works will work to replace a service line in the area. The road work will close a little less than one block. The city did not specify how long the work would take and apologized for the incontinence. Work on East Lakeshore Drive between Huron Street and Center Ice will begin on Monday.
